Ультразвуковые преобразователи также называются ультразвуковыми вибраторами, которые преобразуют электрическую или магнитную энергию, выдаваемую ультразвуковым генератором, в механические колебания той же частоты. В настоящее время в ультразвуковых сварочных аппаратах используются два преобразователя. Первый — магнитострикционный преобразователь. Второй тип представляет собой пьезоэлектрический керамический преобразователь. Первый тип имеет низкую эффективность, низкую стоимость и требует внешнего поляризационного магнитного поля постоянного тока, поэтому ультразвуковые сварочные аппараты в настоящее время используются редко.
